Is it possible to be “too connected”? In the past couple of weeks I finally relented and joined the world of Facebook. I already had 4 email addresses, five phone numbers, and a “shared calendar” that others could use to schedule appointments for me. Did I really need another social network connection?
Still, at the request of a number of good friends I joined this growing trend of adults who must have too much free time on their hands. Within the first week over 100 folks had “friended” me. Suddenly I was hearing from some people I hadn’t heard from in a very long time. I have to admit it’s been pretty interesting….and even useful. I’m just not sure I’m actually good “Facebook” material….I mean, have you seen my face?
The generation growing up now will be intimately connected with Facebook and it’s replacements as the years go by. They will be the most “connected” generation in history. But there’s another “book” that I’m much more interested in finding their names listed…..the Lamb’s Book of Life. As important as it is to connect with family and friends, it’s much more important for them to be connected with their Creator.
At CCS we are committed to the process of providing a quality “Christian Education”. Nothing is more important in our children’s formative years than getting some roots down in their own faith. In today’s ragged economy the choice to enroll your students in private school requires some tough decisions for many of you. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. We want to help you see their “faces” in the book that really matters!
